11 of 11 people found the following review helpful  Pretty, but slippy and noisy, September 20, 2011 I bought the off white pair, which turned out to be really pretty. They are a warm creamy colour and match the wooden finish of the platform and heel nicely. The platforms make the heel height very manageable, although they do produce dreadful clopping noises on uncarpeted floors. Size-wise I was caught between ordering 8 (which is what I get most of the time, especially in open-toed shoes) and 8.5 (which I find more comfortable in some closed-toed shoes), and based on the reviews here, I went with the former. This turned out to be the correct choice for me. Fresh out of the box, the fit was comfortable without being loose, but, like many others, I was afflicted with The Curse Of The Slipping Heel once I started walking. So I put in a pair of Scholl's heel liners (the thick leather ones, not the thin velvety ones), which did wonders for the slippage issue. 8 of 8 people found the following review helpful  LOVE these, June 7, 2011 I ordered these in the taupe, needing a nice neutral shoe to wear to the office with dresses this summer. They're fantastic shoes - great quality, perfect color. I love the wooden appearance of the heel and platform. They're not high like my other Nine West pumps - under 3 inches - and they look and feel great. I did order a half size down based on reviews on Nine West's site, and the heel still slips a bit, but not bad - some heel pads should take care of that. 5 of 5 people found the following review helpful  Mixed feelings, September 6, 2011 I got the black patent shoe. The shoe itself is very nice looking, but I had to buy a heel gel filler to be able to wear it since it kept sliding off, also gave me a couple of sores which I didn't appreciate. Over time they have gotten better, but I would not recommend it for walking great lenghts or being on your feet the whole working day.
